Our Bookfeast is happening on Tuesday, November 28th!
This is a truly a special day and one that has been enjoyed by parents, students, and staff for a number of years. Children’s books related to food such as Strega Nona by Tomie dePaola or The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle are paired with a dish of the family’s choosing. Then, on the day of the event, the dish is served in an enormous buffet alongside its book. Students can sample a few or all of the dishes presented!
You can send in this form or sign up online so we can
get an accurate count on how much food we will have
to share amongst the school!

Please help us make this a fantastic event!
A list of suggestions are included on the back of this form!

Monday, 10/23/2017 we had the kick off assembly for the
fundraiser! The students were SO EXCITED!!!
We appreciate [ARE!] the busy parent / guardian, and the student selling to learn and benefit the school. The sale items should be viewed as a donation to the school,
not as ‘sale’ or ‘value’ items. Using the money raised, the Home & School Association buys things like the new projection screen, copy paper for the entire staff, gym and
other supplies, funds Dobson Day and much more!!
Please consider supporting your student in selling at least 10 items – so he or she may participate in the Partaay AND decorate Dr. Cruice like an ice cream sundae again!!
Sale booklets will come home Wednesday, 10/25/2017 and orders should be returned in sealed envelopes directed to the Home & School lock box by Friday, November 3, 2017.
For more information, how to sell online and have your student create his or her own personal, private “sales” video, which will only be shared with people you choose, click here:
THANK YOU for SUPPORTING YOUR SCHOOL!!!

The School District of Philadelphia urges parents and guardians to participate and contribute wherever and whenever possible.
Thank you for your time, and we look forward to your response by Tuesday, 10/24/2017. You may send in an edited hard copy with your student, Attn. Mrs. Rodgers or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This was also presented in hard copy at our first Home & School Meeting, Tuesday, October 17, 2017. It is also posted on our Facebook page.
We are in the middle of our Fall Box Top Derby.

We all work full time and can really use your help!! Please volunteer as much as you can, your children will appreciate the effort!
On Tuesday, October 31, help in the office is needed for early dismissals. We also could use some parental presence in the gym for the Fall Dance.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up as a volunteer!
We’d like to prevent a back log of people waiting in the office to have their requests processed. Parents are encouraged to contact the office at 215-400-3570 or email Mrs. Cohen at email@example.com to request an early dismissal, well – EARLY!
Please bring a valid ID, and make sure whomever is picking up the student is ON THE EMERGENCY CONTACT LIST!!! If you haven’t submitted your EMERGENCY CONTACT LIST, please click on any of the EMERGENCY CONTACT LIST hyperlinks to download your form for submission – yes, you may email it to firstname.lastname@example.org!! Please do not be upset if your child is not released to someone without ID or not on the EMERGENCY CONTACT LIST, as these School District and PA State mandated policies are in place to protect your child[ren].
These signs were posted on Smick St. between Fountain and Hermitage.
Due to the weather, we will be cancelling the Kindergarten Meet up scheduled for Wednesday September 6, 2017 at Gorgas Park.
We are very sorry for the lack of updates lately! Things have been hectic for some of our Home & School board and we’ve relied solely on Facebook to update parents on events and things happening in school.
Please feel free to check us out there while we work out our WordPress kinks here! =)
